At BLISS, learning English doesn’t just happen in class—it’s part of your whole day! From the moment you grab breakfast with friends to the evening activities before bedtime, you’ll be using English naturally without even thinking about it. In the afternoons, you get to pick activities you really enjoy—whether that’s football, arts, drama, music, or exploring the local area. It’s English mixed with fun, friends, and adventure, so you’ll boost your skills while having the best, and most BLISSful, summer ever.
Mixed Summer Sports (half day or full day options available)
Mixed Summer Sports at BLISS mean variety, fun, and teamwork every single day. You won’t just play one sport—you’ll try lots! From football, tennis, and basketball to rounders, swimming, and even some new games you may never have played before, there’s always something different to keep you moving. Our sports sessions are designed for all levels, so whether you’re competitive or just want to have fun, you’ll find your place on the team. Best of all, you’ll be practising your English the whole time—calling for the ball, cheering on your teammates, and learning the language in action. It’s the perfect mix of energy, exercise, and English!
Multi Activities (half day or full day options available)
With our Multi-Activities option, no two days are the same! One day you could be racing your friends down a giant slip ’n slide, the next you might be heading off to the beach at Loretto to splash in the waves or play games on the sand. From sports and team challenges to creative activities and outdoor adventures, it’s all about variety, fun, and making the most of summer. Along the way, you’ll be practising your English naturally—laughing, playing, and sharing every moment with new friends. Multi-Activities means maximum fun, maximum memories!
Golf
Working with a Golf Pro, you will be able to tee off in a nearby golf course, the envy of all as Scotland is the home of golf! So, no matter your handicap you are sure to be blown away by our golfing provision.
Outdoor Adventure
Paddle boarding, archery, kayaking, aqua zorbing and outdoor skills are all part of this afternoon elective. Along with out adventure partners, we make sure this exhilarating option is always one to remember We will go off to the River with experts to show us how to enjoy the Scottish outdoors at its best!
Horse riding
Discover the thrill of horse riding at BLISS! Whether you’re a complete beginner or have ridden before, our friendly instructors will guide you every step of the way. You’ll learn to groom, saddle up, and ride with confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Horse riding is a chance to try something new, connect with these amazing animals, and pick up new skills while practising your English naturally. From trotting in the arena to enjoying peaceful rides, it’s an unforgettable experience that brings adventure, fun, and learning together.
Art
Step into the world of imagination with Creative Arts at BLISS! You’ll get the chance to dream up your own story, bring it to life with colourful illustrations, and then act it out on stage with your friends. It’s the perfect mix of writing, art, and drama—where your ideas turn into something real. Along the way, you’ll boost your English as you create characters, share ideas, and perform in front of others. Creative Arts isn’t just a class—it’s a chance to express yourself, work as a team, and see your story come alive!
Discovery Scotland
Discovery Scotland is your chance to explore the best of Scotland while practising English in real life! From historic castles and famous landmarks to stunning landscapes, beaches, and bustling cities, every trip is an adventure. You’ll learn about Scottish culture, traditions, and history while making memories with your friends. Whether it’s climbing a hill for the view, wandering through cobbled streets, or visiting world-famous attractions, Discovery Scotland combines sightseeing, fun, and language learning in one unforgettable experience.
Extra English
If you are looking to make a dramatic improvement in your English, this afternoon activity is for you! Games, presentations, speeches, debates, marketing, business and advertising are all topics that are covered. This option is for learners of English working at an intermediate level or above. Expect to work in small groups, up to 5 as a maximum.
