Hi everyone, my name is Ava, and I am looking forward to my 5th year working in the fun-filled BLISS summer school, as Camp Manager. I'm currently studying in Ireland where I'm originally from. My favourite thing is creating art out of random objects and listening to and dancing to music.
One of my many favourite parts about being part of the BLISS team is getting to know and make fun memories with the students through their learning and activities. My favourite moments from BLISS are the talent shows and dance parties we throw. I can't wait for BLISS summer 2026. I can't wait to see old familiar faces and new faces.

Hi, I am Holly. I am teacher of Physical Education, currently working in Scottish Schools. I studied at the University of Stirling to get a degree in Sport Studies, Physical Education and Professional Education. I have a background in dance and badminton and in my free time I love to be active whether that be playing sports or going on long walks.
I am very excited to be returning to BLISS Summer School as the Camp Manager, at Strathallan. I had a brilliant summer last year and my favourite moment would have to be playing volleyball with the entire camp in the evenings! I am thrilled to be returning to the camp and can’t wait for another great summer. This will be my fifth year at BLISS! |
Hi, I am Suzanne. I have been a teacher since 2001, I have managed schools in the UK and abroad and I worked in Italy for over ten years, as a teacher. I gained my Diploma in TESOL in 2017, which allows me to act as Academic Manager at BLISS. I am really passionate about providing the best possible English language provision for our students, while ensuring they have the best fun summer possible!
I am also the Managing Director of the school, which means that I get to travel around meeting many of our students who are staying in summer before they come over - which gives me a great insight into their cultures and languages. I did my university degree in Glasgow, in Scotland (where I am from) in Marketing and Communication.
I really love my job as I can combine lots of skills into the one thing I adore - teaching English! I also work as a TEFL teacher trainer through the year. My aim is to find the perfect balance between summer and school.
In December 2021, I was elected as the Chair of English UK Scotland, which is a role that I am honoured to have and also excited to be involved in. I'll keep you up to date with our news!

Hi I'm Alex. I am a BLISS director and you will find me on 3 campuses this summer, the Scottish ones! I have a degree in Computer Science, from Napier university, in Edinburgh. I have many hobbies, including drumming, playing the bass guitar, coding and travelling.

Hi, I'm Lewi - I am the one on the right in the picture! Over the past 30 years, I’ve built a career in the international education sector, working my way from Canoe Instructor to Managing Director, picking up a fair few stories (and lessons) along the way. My experience spans hands-on field work through to senior leadership.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outdoors watching my daughter horse ride or my son play rugby. For the last 15 years, I’ve been hooked on running and cycling, taking on everything from adventure races to an ultra run in the desert. I have 2 Dogs and a few horses I managed to beat an 1879 cycling record by riding 345 miles in 22 hours (the original was 339 in 24). Admittedly, modern riders have pushed that to over 637 miles! |

Hello! I’m Jack, I'm 22 and I live in Glasgow in Scotland. I am a recent graduate of the University of Glasgow and am now a full- time member of the fantastic BLISS team.
I focus primarily on the Mini stay programmes as well as the operational duties during the summer months, across BLISS sites. I started with BLISS 3 summers ago and was excited to run the first ever BLISS Easter camp at Loretto School, in 2026. I love all things sport; rugby, football, padel, tennis and I have been known to be somewhat of a musician as well! BLISS to me means excitement, connecting and learning, in a world that promotes one’s ability to communicate with people around the globe. |
