Course Title: Exploring Artistic Expression
Course Overview: The BLISS Summer School Art Program offers students the opportunity to explore various forms of artistic expression, develop their creativity, and cultivate their visual literacy skills. Through a combination of theory and practical exercises, students will engage in hands-on activities designed to enhance their understanding of art concepts, techniques, and historical contexts.

Session 3: Sculpture and 3-Dimensional Art
Introduction to sculpture techniques: modeling, carving, assemblage
Exploration of different sculptural mediums: clay, wood, found objects
Understanding spatial relationships and perspective in sculpture
Session 4: Art History and Cultural Context
Survey of major art movements and styles: Renaissance, Impressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, Contemporary Art
Analysis of artworks from diverse cultural and historical contexts
